I agree, John, and am only adding qcom to the G&K Index so we can track their progress. My only conclusion so far is that Qualcomm has control of the standards of a very powerful enabling technology (cdma), which may bring them an excellent revenue stream through licensing the big cell phone makers. This won't be an overnight process, as there is a lot of infrastructure that will have to be put in place before cdma realizes its full potential. The majority of the USA doesn't have any digital access yet, but as service expands, it looks like tdma may have just become a slide rule.
