Burt,
The name of the game in analystworld is to become known as "The Axe" for a stock or an industry.
Nice post, Burt. I also think that Niles is treading on very thin ice as he goes for the grandstand plays on Intel and Dell, but especially Intel, because they are a gorilla, and a paranoid one at that! I wouldn't want to be in the same room for very long with a paranoid gorilla.
Had a laugh with CNBC on in the background just recently. They have a segment on Fridays called "stockpickers' Friday." One guy called in and asked about AMD, buy or not. The guest stockpicker said he really wouldn't recommend AMD as a long term holding, very difficult business with a gorilla in it (not exact words), blah, blah. The CNBC guy said, "then, would you call AMD the third horse in a two horse race." Guest said, "yes."
