Banc of America Analyst King on PC Demand, Intel: Comment 9/21/00 4:36:00 PM Source: Bloomberg News San Francisco, Sept. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Kurtis King, computer- industry analyst at Banc of America Securities, comments on Intel Corp.'s warning that its third-quarter sales will fall short of forecasts. King's colleague, Banc of America semiconductor analyst Rick Whittington, covers Intel. ''It's been clear that Europe has been a soft area for PC vendors for some time. I'm not sure that there's any real news in that sector being soft for Intel as well. I still don't think the overall demand environment is much different from what my companies expected entering the quarter. What I keep hearing most of all is how strong servers and notebooks are (throughout the world).''
