Great article!! Funny to see the libs trying so hard to act and sound like reasonable "conservatives".

The article needs to go one step further. What is it that the idealists are really promoting? They want environmental reform. I am a conservative and that sounds great to me too. It sucks that all of the cars today are using hycrocarbon engines.

The real difference is that liberals think the government is going to make these kind of changes whereas conservatives are not going to waste taxpayer money on free market imbalances. The liberals need to call for higher waste management systems to handle the animal sewage. Yes, the consumer would pay a higher cost but it is important the full social cost of production is realized. Same with hydrogen based engines, it might cost another $2000 per car to install fuel cell engines. So what!! The market needs to make these changes happen no matter who is in office.

<That's not to say that liberalism doesn't have a political price. In fact we, as liberals, are committed to the rights of gays and atheists and to free choice on abortion. We're committed to limiting the severity of the criminal law to appropriate levels. We don't love the notion of bombing the hell out of the country's enemies, and we strongly disapprove of torture. That's part of what liberalism is, and I for one don't much want to compromise on any of it.>

Gun control, gay marriage, taxing the rich, national healthcare, pro choice - he sums up the problem with these platforms.

<OK, fine. I don't like having guns around me, and try to arrange my own environment accordingly. The problem is that lots of liberals are willing to write that prejudice into law, using largely spurious claims about crime control as a justification.>

Every time the liberals see something they don't like, they want to legislate another rule. My wife is a vegan that has strong opposition to animal feces ruining the water. As a non vegetarian meat eater (meagan), I feel the same way. She condemns conservatives for this problem. I don't think that Clinton did a better job. Didn't Hillary have a reputation for making alot of money on the cattle market playing the futures? Oh yeah, they lived in Arkansas which handles a huge amount of meat packing for the US especially in the poultry industry.

It gets so tiresome having to deal with the perpetual negativity of liberals. They want to protest every issue on a moral level. At the same time, these people do not even support the existance of God. In the US, more lives would be gained a year without abortion than lives are lost to guns. Ironic that liberals embrace utopian brotherhood without respecting religious beliefs in God. The only conviction of the liberals is their cynicism that conservatives are a bunch of stupid chimps that don't understand the problems.

In fact, they don't actually know anything that the rest of us have not heard a million times. Conservatives are not going to embrace gay rights or abortion to make things better for this world. They are not going to stop driving our cars to make the environment less polluted. Life is not going to stop in time so that the Democrats can go back and fix all the things in the world they do not like.
