There are local standards. This is not the same as no standards. But I agree, the local canvassing boards are in way over their heads on this one.

As a Democrat, I certainly support uniform statewide standards. Unfortunately, the mess of Florida election law leaves the standards in control of the local canvassing boards, and the court chose not to write law from the bench by imposing a uniform standard.
