Both RIM guys are Scottish. Permanent residents. Lucky to be Anglos!!! Persons convicted of disorderly behaviour on board the aircraft are liable to receive a monetary penalty of up to $100,000, a jail sentence of up to five years, or both.

The two hooligans got:

1 year’s probation and pay $35,878 in restitution to Air Canada. Barred from flying on Air Canada during that period, and other airlines may follow suit.

The judge said Air Canada could take civil action to recoup its full costs, which is estimated about $200,000.

If they weren't Anglos they would be had: revoked resident permits. Jailed. No probation. And would have paid full 200K costs.

And they'd have their photos all over the place. But we got no photos of the Hooligans...
