Her own latest explanation for why she fired Monaghan is that he had a "rogue mentality." According to her own people, he wanted to increase the budget for State Troopers, while she wanted to cut it. The meth lab stories are, likewise, not from the Obama camp, but from local Alaska newspapers and the Associated Press. It seems that you are reflexively denying anything that might be even slightly negative about Palin, based on the idea that it must be from a biased source. I'm sure you've noticed that it is not only Obama's supporters who are questioning her qualifications for the office. An increasing number of conservative commentators have expressed reservations about her, too. Krauthammer, Brooks, and several others. - Allen
