hi,,paul,,,

market view from me is probably not worth the bandwidth. i haven't followed the market nearly as closely as i once did. however, i get a sense that we're at a bottom and that we're in a building up phase.

feds' move yesterday means a few things to me.

things (productivity, manufacturing, etc.) are worse than they appear, but the feds are willing to do what it takes to support the market.

when the feds raised rates, folks say don't fight the market. i believe the same is true about when the feds lower rates. i'm hopeful for a positive year in general.

i like lu, fon, pcs, wcom, mot because they've gotten beaten up pretty good.

pcs is a particularly good one....someone will buy that company. wireless is here to stay.

fiberoptics...i imagine jdsu and glw are long term buys.

i also like a (agilent)...they have some neat technology in a variety of arena. they even have a mobile defibrillator. baby boomers want to live a long time...a defibrillator can come in handy.

i also like to dollar average into the biotech sector...i think that's still a good play for the long haul.

these days,,,i tend to be a longer term investor..i don't have the time to trade trends,,,and i don't have the knack to find the correct ones.

i need to find out what john's thoughts are about companies like RJR, DVN,,,and the oil drillers and oil companies...they don't seem to be participating in this rally...perhaps,,,they're really sensing a recession?
