Another look at the adultress woman situation. They brought the woman but not the man which actually showed they were not righteous men interested in keeping the law. It was hypocritical not to bring the man also.

They knew Jesus's message and wanted Him to condemn the woman which would have violated Jesus's ministry. Jesus came to save that which was lost without reference to judgement. If He did not condemn her He was not a keeper of the law. To be the Christ He had to keep the whole law. They were trying to trap Him. They were asking Him to judge and condemn and they had the law on their side. But Jesus in His wisdom turned the tables and exposed their hypocrisy. They could not condemn her and Jesus would not.
