Tough situation. If they pass, it's back to valuing equities based on earnings. Hey, what a concept.<g>

If they cut, it would contradict those who say that the recent rise in treasury rates is an indication that the economy has bottomed.

Either way, it may make investors take a good look at exactly what they are holding especially in light of more secure alternatives in the bond market.

How the market reacts is another story.
