Steve,

Don't waste your money on Intel VX chip motherboard! It could not cache over 64MB RAM and could not run 75Mhz (not to mention 83Mhz) bus speed reliably.

PC-Chip just release a TXPro3 with 1MB L2 cache. It use Ali Alladin IV+ chipset which is only second to VIA VP3 chipset on the current socket 7. All the rumors suggest that Ali will be the first one to come out with 100Mhz bus speed socket 7 chipset. I kind of believe the rumor as both of our TXPro are extremely stable under 83Mhz bus speed with either 6x86, M2 or K6.

I know that lots of people trash PC-Chip with scare tales about their miserable experiences with $65 VXPro motherboard (from PC-Chip). The truth (per my limit experience), PC-CHIP TXPro M560 is the best socket 7 motherboard that I ever have.

How good is TXPro mobo? Let me give an example. I have a K5-PR133 (100 Mhz). K5 is quite famous for its lack of oc friendlyness among PC hobbyist. Even with the most famous Asus T2P4, this K5 will lockup shortly after entering the Win95 if it is push to 125Mhz (83x1.5). Have you heard anyone successfully oc it to 125Mhz before?

Well, I could oc this K6-PR133 to 125Mhz on TXPro and run as many times of Winstone97 as I want without any sign of system lockup.
