No its a normal definition of freedom. Freedom isn't the only value. You might accept some infringement on freedom in some circumstances, but vaccine mandates are an infringement on freedom.

Or at least they easily can be. It depends on exactly what you mean by mandate. Don't let someone work at a particular job or participate in a particular organization, then maybe not (at least if its the organization deciding). But physically forcing people to get the shot, or fining or jailing them for not doing it or not letting them move around in the world if they don't. That is an infringement on freedom. The article was more about the former, but saying that vaccine mandates don't infringe on freedom also implies the latter.

And not its not like poisoning the drinking water supply. Do that and your more certainly creating a major risk (a non-vaccinated person can be disease free and not spreading to anyone). Not doing it more certainly eliminates that risk (OTOH apparently getting the vaccine does not eliminate the risk you can spread the disease), and its damages the property of others directly (a vaccine is in you, refusing it doesn't mean your directly doing anything to anyone).

Which doesn't mean I'm against vaccination for covid or generally. I have received the covid vaccinations (and others in the past).
