Iomega= reality of marketplace Dear Guy: I agree with you, we must filter the hopes of inventors against the reality of the commercial marketplace. When I was younger ( in my 20's) searching for the great "what if" stocks consumed me and I was allways disappointed. In my book,,,never invest in a compnany that is not in a position to market and "sell" their great new product. Think of the FDA and all the little dollar drug stocks that didnt get approval and their investors really must be classified as gamblers, pur and simple. For myself, Iomega represents not a gamble, but a reasonable "leap of faith" in the product, their people and marketing. Realize this....sooner or later it comes down to market forces, or who can sell what for how much. Since Iomega is so willing to sacrifice short term profit for market share, this increases their chances of ultimate domination. Have a safe weekend to all iomegaheads including longs and shorts! rocksta
