I'll probably be shorting it before the spring if there is some sort of runup from here. This is not harley specific but I think there are too many bikes out there in general now, especially with all the new 2002 models, ton of big bore jap cruisers out now and lots of 2001 left overs in all genres. Just seems to be a flooded market which should become apparent before HDI gets a chance to release disappointing #'s. If guzzi/aprilia get its act together they could take another big chunk out of HDI's market. Just too many options to bet on a t-shirt company, plus at some point the harley poser shtick gets played out -g-. Still think that bikes will keep selling, but the amount of low mileage barely used bikes and brand new models is overwhelming. Many of the Italian companies like italjet, benelli, aprilia that make scooters overbuilt and now the scooter market is flooded, sense that we may see the same thing with motorcycles.
