Bad News for Democrats
Hollywood activists vow to keep it up.

Movie Stars just don't get it. Those who can act and accumulate wealth have talents that are not necessarily portable horizontally across different fields.

First of all, actors who can act presidential, or write fancy looking math equations on the silver screen don't seem to realize that for the rest of us, when the credits roll by, we understand it's just acting. Other than the very young viewers who don't vote, more often than not, we look at their opinions with some bemusement, certainly with no more respect than we would anyone else we meet socially.

Secondly, Hollywood does not seem to get this one man one vote thing. Just because someone has good teeth, great hairdo and charm does not make your vote count anymore.

Thirdly it is because of most of us do realize that it is just acting that our credulity to what they have to say is inversely proportional to their vehemence. In fact, hearing that JK relied on Marlon Brando for advice on foreign policy for Nicaragua is not just comical, it is downright scary.

Is it such a shock to Hollywood glitterati that their ideals are not mainstream?

All in all, when it comes to policy, issues, values, Hollywood can only hurt the democrats. About time someone in the DNC realize this and put some daylight there.
