I also saw the interview and thought it was very boring with no new news. I think the problem was that the reporter for CNBC was asking stupid questions. My guess is that his teleprompter must have been running Windows and it probably froze up on him during the interview so he was at a total loss to ask any intelligent questions :-).

Since it appears Sun has prevented Microslop from using the Java Logo it will be interesting to see how HP is going to deploy the mystery JVM for MS exclusive us. Scott said in the interview that if any company small or large doesn't comply to the license agreement be prepared for a court challenge.
