Jesus...what a load of crap.
1) I have made *numerous* bad calls on shorts as well as longs...and owned up to every one of them. One good call was the Identix stock fraud (which I believe you are enamored with and will inevitably...and eventually, trade in the pinks). I make a lot of money on good calls...I lose a lot of money on bad calls. Over a long period of time I have made significantly more money than I have lost. Hooray for me.
2) Many of the stocks I short are heavily promoted an manipulated. A classic example is the REFR stock fraud. I have shorted whenever I could get a borrow at prices ranging from the single digits to the 30s. Inevitably and eventually, it will also be a zero. Scam stocks get squeezed *all the time* and pro short sellers suffer buy-ins *all the time*. It is part of the risk of short-selling and well understood (apparently - except by you). Some shorts take years to resolve. It's all part of the game.
3) I love to come back and say "I told you so" because many of the cretins posting on message boards are professional promoters, touts and newsletter whores. They deserve to get raked over the coals. Especially the promoters of medical frauds such as Zonagen, Biotime, CCSI and GUMM.
4) Loved this post from December:

Actually, the figure is closer to $600K (though I have since covered 100% of the GUMM stock fraud position). I press the bet large on companies where there is zero (and I do mean ZERO) doubt of fraud. Examples: ZONA, GUMM, REFR, CCSI, HEPH, BTX, TRBO, etc. Oh...and one of my recent picks which you conveniently neglected to mention...ERTH. I actually shorted that one way back in the teens...covered in the single digits. Shorted recently AGAIN at 3+change a share and covered at 2...but - darn, if I would've waited I could've gotten out at 1.
I would be more than happy to exchange trade confirmations and account balance summaries with you through fax or email. You can then laugh at those as well. I laugh also...though I imagine for different reasons.
5) I'm glad you miss me. Now stick around and learn something. |
