oops! gonna be pretty hard for Japan banks to buy up stocks with their money:

"Tokyo Mutual Life Insurance said on FRIDAY it had filed for court protection from creditors, including troubled Daiwa Bank which issued a profit warning on its failure to recover ¥32bn in loans to the insurer."

Will be interesting to see how US props our market with Japan needing foreign assets cashed in.
