MSNBC.COM Releases Internet Poll Rating Online Brokerage Services NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 1997--Seeking to gauge Internet users' opinions of online brokerage services, the Commerce section of MSNBC on the Internet (www.MSNBC.COM) conducted a poll on the topic. From Friday, October 31, through Monday, November 3, 3776 MSNBC readers responded to five questions rating online brokerage services' reliability and performance. The results are as follows:

18% Excellent. It's always been there when I need it. 44% Good. It's usually available, but sometimes hard to access during heavy trading days. 19% Fair. Sometimes it's easy to access, often it isn't. 15% Poor. I have frequent, recurring access problems
4) How reliable is your web broker's telephone service?
23% Excellent. It's always there when I need it. 39% Good. It's usually available, but sometimes has long holds or busy signals during heavy trading days. 16% Fair. Sometimes it's easy to access, often it isn't. 11% Poor. I have frequent, recurring access problems, or telephone service isn't offered.
5) How would you rate the financial information available at your broker's website?
20% Excellent. In depth, easy to access, everything I need to trade. 43% Good. There is much information. But I still need to do research elsewhere. 26% Fair. The information is adequate for trading, but not very in-depth. 8% Poor. The service is virtually devoid of useful information
