And the theory behind it? “Those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training, One of the downsides encountered by many of the highly intelligent is a minimal tolerance for boredom. There is nothing new about some people being "over-qualified" for jobs, with the implication that if something more attractive comes along, the candidate might move along too easily. This is just a variation on that idea. I think it is a smart policy designed to save taxpayers money. Good on them.
