A while back there was some back and forth about Dell using the AWE64 in the high end machines and the integrated Yamaha system in the low end units. The ads in my area also had the highest end machines with a DVD11 drive instead of a CDROM. They recently dropped the price and dropped the DVD drive as well. Did anybody notice this or is it just in my region? Anybody hear if they were having trouble with the hardware or if the price premium was affecting demand?
