you all should read IBD's article yesterday "riding tech stocks requires mastering the cycle" page A5, Nov 5 by Leo Fasciocco. Leo is one of IBD's better tech writers. in the article it clearly states that the semiconductor industry is in the first year of a 3 to 5 year growth cycle. last year was the bottom of the cycle. they clearly advise to buy semiconductor stocks on any weakness and suggest that semiconductor stocks will be next year's big winners.

and here we have little Cymer. the entire semiconductor industry's move to smaller line widths next year is largely dependent on how well Cymer does it's job worldwide in building the lasers to get the semis to higher yields per wafer. the market and mutuals dumped Cymer because Komatsu is developing an engine which has yet to be tested in production and will most likely take up to 1 to 2 years to fully complete any pre-production phase preparing it for the market. and Cymer is selling at lower multiples than most semis right now. amazing. Jay, Bret, let's be reasonable.
