That is part of it. But not all of them are actually self-hating. Oh I didn't mean self hating........instead, they learn at an early age to hate others whom they consider lesser......gays, blacks, etc. They seem to thrive on that shit. They are closeted because being an openly gay Republican is an oxymoron. To have a career as a Republican, you have to march in lockstep with leadership. While bleating about how it is really the Democrats who are forced to toe the party line and the Republicans are all free-thinkers who just happen to have uniform public beliefs... What pisses me off the most is that these closeted Rs are the ones who go after gays the most. They have no honor or decency.
