The airline business has a terrible history and, in general loses money due to a combination of insanely high capital expenditures and a number of horrible unions.

But your statement is not correct. Southwest and Jetblue, IIRC, have not filed for bankruptcy.

I said major airline. I guess SW is a minor major now but JB definitely is not.
