EDGE Slips Over the EDGE Word on the street is that the TDMA community's EDGE technology that is meant to provide high-speed data is in trouble. At several recent conferences, people who know were saying that no one can seem to get it working outside of the lab. If EDGE is indeed dead, the TDMA community must quickly regroup and find another path to 3G or admit that all roads lead to CDMA—either cdmaOne or WCDMA, take your pick.
