Grammy: Glad you agree! I actually had this same conversation with Doug Foster back in August. It was his idea to make everyone pay upfront before downloading the product. Then if they were not satisfied you had 30 days, from the time you downloaded it, to contact the company and ask for you money to be refunded. The company would send you a form that you would sign saying in good faith you would not use the product and they would refund your money after they received the signed contract. The research Peak had done showed this would dramatically increase sales because, in PeakJet's case, most people would not go to the trouble of getting a refund for a $29.00 product.

I was very excited about this and Doug said it would be starting in October. Well, as we all know this has never happened. When I have questioned Doug about it since then, he evades the question and often times speaks of PeakJet as if it is in the past and no longer important. Then there was that rumor that PeakJet may become FREE. I've never got to the bottom of this one either.

Either way, a 30 day free full working version of an $80 product (NetMagnet) seems to long to me. We don't want this viewed as shareware which is what I think PeakJet has become viewed as.

I posted this to Doug Foster in the hopes that he will respond to it or someone else from peak will.
