Many Moose, when you suggest that; "we made the mistake of not killing [the Gitmo detainees] instead of giving them three Islamic squares and a prayer rug," you have to expect "bile."

Extolling the merits of executing people held without due process and often with poor evidence, or evidence that wouldn't be admitted in any civilized nation in the world, will only get cheers from a very narrow slice of civilized society; the rest of us find that view abhorrent.

But anyone callous enough to assert that the Gitmo prisoners should be "grateful" for our largess of prayer rugs and three meals a day shouldn't be so sensitive about "bile."

Funny how it's so easy to minimize someone else's suffering, isn't it? If you were the one being held without charge, without counsel, on thin evidence and indefinitely...I'd guess you wouldn't be too "grateful."

You might even be mad enough to carry a grudge. Ed
