Yes there is truth to this. NEC owns about 45% of Packard Bell, which is also an oem for the zip. Packard Bell will or may already be building computers for NEC. The NEC will be like Packard Bell's top of the line which has the zip on them. NEC had agreed to use the zip and possibly the jaz for several months now so this is old news. Geary
