Catherine, I think there is circumstantial evidence that Compaq is embracing WAVE technology. The NAble/Wave deal was first announced June 15th, although I think it is extremely likely that they were in discussions prior to that announcement. Firm evidence of this is the inclusion of the shares in the June 9th Financials that accompanied the PGE Strong Buy recommendation. June 14th, Compag announced www1.compaq.com!ob~677_1_1,00.html Compaq Announces Innovative Solutions for Secure Transactions New Smart Card Technology for Network Security It is inconceivable that Compaq didn't know about Wave at that point, and accepted the transaction [or they would have scuttled the NAble deal]. The fact that the market didn't react to the Wave's June 15th announcement tells me that either a)the market is an ass or b)nelzoni's theory [see RB] is bang on.
