It has been good to take time off during the trding day to reflect on this thread. Do you believe that we sinners have two types of 'good actions'? Ones that come from trying to make ammends for our sins(whether a concious action or not)? And actions that just evolve as taking steps in the footsteps of Christ? In retrospect, I sometimes feel (usually long after the fact) that I may have acted out of guilt and trying to get some sort of mercy. Oftentimes I feel my actions come from the 'flesh' and not the spirit, even though at the time I don't consider them actions of the flesh. Knowing that I am a miserable sinner, it is sometimes (all times?) hard for me to grasp that God's forgiveness is there only for the asking.
God be with you all.
Jim
