Very wrong, IMO. If the website was not a business and was government created only for non-profit, public discussion, then you might be partially right.

But, SI is a for-profit business, it has nothing to do with the government, and it is not public (it is private in the sense that you have to be a member to post).

SI has every right to control what is discussed. But, from what I have seen they have not controlled "what" is discussed. Rather, they have set quite reasonable restraints on "how" things are discussed. Even the government can place reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions on free speech.

Every media outlet in this country controls "what" gets discussed in their paper or at their station. None of that has led this country to tyranny and nothing SI does will either.
