thank you very much! those were exactly the sort of numbers that i was looking for. i will perform a few calculations and see if i agree with your prognosis (and get back to you if i come up with something substantially different).

i am guessing that each of these companies has an approximate beta of 2. this means that return on invested capital should be around 20%. be careful of your discount rate.

i am enthusiastic about ADSL (as is anyone downloading information off the web for trading purposes). i do not know which horse to bet on and will probably choose two. what is your strategy and can you give any odds on the outcome, i.e., 60% that WSTL rules and AMTX sinks. or can they all coexist? who has the best chance at setting the standard. thanks again for the numbers.
