Liberal Kentucky PAC Working to Elect Democrats by Being Randomly Racist

May 16, 2015 by Daniel Greenfield

Progress Kentucky was dubbed the “Worst SuperPAC Ever” by none other than Salon. When Salon, the current home of progressive crazy, thinks that your progressive PAC is a disaster, that really says something.

The mission of Progress Kentucky was to elect a Democrat to replace Mitch McConnell, but it makes much more sense that it was secretly run by McConnell. But that’s giving McConnell too much credit. Because Progress Kentucky decided that the best way to accomplish its goal of electing Democrats was through random racism. Like suggesting that McConnell’s wife works for China.

The link went to a Holocaust denial site because… progress.

And then there was the wiretapping.

Earlier this week, Jacob Conway, a member of Kentucky’s Jefferson County Democratic Party, told Fox News that two group members secretly recorded the McConnell strategy sessions.

Conway alleges Executive Director Shawn Reilly and volunteer Curtis Morrison recorded the February office meeting from a hallway, perhaps with an iPhone, and later told him about it.

Conway said he came forward because he didn’t want the situation tarnishing the Democratic Party.

Now there’s more recordings and more racism. Also the Kentucky Derby.

A Democratic operative who was at the center of the 2013 “Progress Kentucky” scandal went on an anti-Jewish tirade against a political client he claimed owed him money, according to an audiotape published on Monday.[iframe name="aswift_1" width="300" height="250" id="aswift_1" frameborder="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" scrolling="no" vspace="0" hspace="0" allowfullscreen="true" style="left: 0px; top: 0px; position: absolute;" allowtransparency="true"][/iframe]

“You are why people don’t like Jews,” said Conway to Grossberg, who is Jewish. “You are exactly where the term ‘Jew you out of something’ came from.”

The Democratic consultant complained that he needed the money from Grossberg to go to the Kentucky Derby.

“I can’t go to Derby this year,” fumed Conway. “The one thing—I don’t believe in Jesus, I don’t believe in God, I don’t like Christmas, I don’t like Thanksgiving, I don’t like anything. The only holiday that I like is Derby. And because of you owing me money, I can’t go. And your refusal to pay. You have now ruined my Derby.”

This raises the possibility of the Democrats in Kentucky paying their own SuperPAC to just go away. Maybe that was the plan all along.
