Hey I2, good to see ya here in the TA dungeon!

Watch out for the whips and chains, nothing to be scared of there.

Good books? For the beginning enthusiast, I always rec the bible of modern TA, "Technical analysis of Stock Trends" by Edwards and McGee.

In it's 7th or 8th edition by now, I believe. Cannot go wrong.

I also recommend a good study guide on Japanese Candles. I personally like "Candlestick Charting Explained" by Morris. Candles are great for identifying trend reversals.

I have grave doubts regarding E-wave. I do think it's based on some excellent thinking, theoretically. But the method produces far too many of it's share of false readings and alarms. The E-wavers have been calling a major market top since 1992 -- oops! Missed an entire bull market covering 5 years! Oh well.
