I agree their methods may be inconsistent; but I disagree they cause wild swings in the stock. Most of the movement in the xDSL companies is sector-specific more than company-specific. Even good news has little affect.

This won't always be the case. Some day they'll have separate identities and Amati will move ahead of the pack.

As for blundgeoning NEC to allow a press release, I hear what you're saying but I'm not convinced we'd be any better off in the long run. Won't all these contracts/alliances manifest themselves eventually and then be reflected in the stock?

I believe the truth will out --- in the market and in human character.
Just my take.
