Woody seems to be clueless at this stuff. It appears he is completely hooked on whatever Rex tells him.
They fired their GM because of the poor results of the personnel he was told to hire by Rex.
The year before they fired the OC and Rex picked Tony Sporano to call the plays. Snatched up Tebow after re-signing Sanchez, to cause a controversy. Then do their best to sabatage the kid's career after selling a bunch of jerseys and season tickets. Their offense had no imagination at all.
Look at what SF, Skins, and Seahawks are doing with the read option. The plays are so creative and have so much added strategy to them. Tebow may not throw as good as any of them, but they did not even try anything other than a few QB sneaks with him.
I really think the Jets are going to be a 5-11 team next year.
Woody should have cleaned house and started fresh.
Anyhow, I am more of a Jets observer than a fan, but would like to see them do well. Ain't happening any time soon.
As far as Tim Tebow, perhaps the best thing he could do is head up to the wider fields of Canada and play a year or two to prove he can do well.
Or allow Belichick to figure a few special plays with him.
