isopatch, I am lucky to work with Hoover Dam and all of the Arizona irrigation and power districts. Each farmer sits in a different position with soil and water needs, groundwater and surface water pumping needs, with only those who are buying supplemental power on the market taking a ding. Others have long-term fixed price supplemental power contracts that ameliorate current price increases.

Truck farming is still profitable- That's lettuce and melons. Cotton and wheat are less profitable, but Egyptian Cotton is depressing the market anyway.....Citrus crops since they involve maintaining tres will carry on through thick and thin.....
