>>That the Republicans can win even one election in this country with it's current demographics is completely amazing.<<

wiz, i'd double down that wooden nickel that wayne owes me that you live in or near a big urban area. urban and rural areas do not think alike. bush won the VAST majority of the country from a geographical standpoint. the cities have more people.

this is why we will NEVER get rid of the electoral college. the small states would have to vote to reduce their power... never happen, imho...

i am amazed how many folks 1. don't think through the tax cut / flat tax issue and 2. are willing to vote to essentially put another "0" in someone else's account (and that would be the ONLY lifestyle change for these folks).

gore's plan is not better and it is a shame. although clinton needs to be slapped around for using statistics to lie to the world about the health of our economy, his tax / spend (i don't mean tax and spend is good, i'm talking about the ratio relative to bore and gush) policies were much better than either of these goons' policies. perhaps the market is finally getting in tune with this reality.

i want to reiterate the point i made. the BIG BOYS KNOW that the name of the game isn't about getting tax cuts. they KNOW it is about gaining relative purchasing power and they KNOW their tax cut must be MUCH MORE than everyone elses tax cut.

they WILL NOT say thank you to the little guys that effectively put that extra "0" or two on their account statement, either.
