It is something you must discover for yourself.

Can you choose your thoughts, to have them and not have them? If so, you have free will.

If your thoughts come to you from somewhere (where?) without your choosing, then you don't have free will.

Best to leave the physics out of it. In the land of direct, empirical observation, symbols are the ornate clothes-wear of fashionable emperors.
