Alternative Chat Room Help Needed

I'm looking at alternative chat rooms for use by the group. Some of the features that I think we need include:

1. Private access by invitation

2. The ability of the administrator (TL) to uninvite someone, thereby causing them to lose access to the site.

3. Many would prefer no special software (just a browser).

4. Decent site performance

If anyone has any ideas please PM me. We can then set up a test site to see if it will meet the needs of the group.
