WaPo Picks Sides -- And It Ain't Ours

Darryl Fears, writing in the Washington Post, has a story on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and how evil conservatives are taking it over. Fears writes, in part,

<<<

Berry and liberal co-chairman Cruz Reynoso were ousted in December by President Bush, who appointed conservative Republican Gerald A. Reynolds to succeed Berry.
>>>

That is a flat out lie.

Berry was not "ousted." Berry's term was up and she refused to surrender her chair and leave. The President stood his ground and Berry resigned taking Cruz Reynoso with her. That is documented fact.

Fears, hoping to spark fears, continues

<<<

The commission is poised to press what some civil rights advocates, some academics and the two remaining liberal board members call a Republican agenda. On Friday, the board is scheduled to consider launching studies on whether Social Security shortchanges African Americans and whether minorities and women deserve advantages in the awarding of federal contracts. Both issues are part of Bush's agenda.
>>>

I have been unable to turn up a search accusing the Commission of pushing a Democrat agenda when it went to Florida to prove Bush stole the election or when it supported HillaryCare.

It is time for the Commission to go and Fears should be reprimanded for blatantly biased and false reporting.
