What a crock of BS--Dallas county, Texas issues shelter-in-place order. all this because there are 131 cases of virus 19 in all of Dallas County and only 334 cases in all of Texas--28.7 million people with a land area of 268,897 sq. miles. Totally disgusting--
According to the order, all non-essential business are required to close.
Individuals may leave their residences for the following essential activities:
Health & Safety - Obtaining medical supplies or medication, visiting a health care professional, or obtaining supplies needed to work from home.
Services & Supplies - Obtain food, pet supply, and any other household consumer products, and products necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences. This includes delivery of services and supplies to others.
Outdoor activity - Walking, biking, hiking, or running provided the individuals comply with social distancing requirements of six feet.
Perform work functions - Providing essential products and services at an Essential Business
All businesses operating within Dallas County, except Essential Businesses are required to cease all activities at facilities located within the County. For clarity, businesses may continue operations consisting exclusively of employees or contractors performing activities at their own residences (i.e. working from home), but they must comply with social distancing for both employees and the general public.

Infrastructure
Retail
Providers of Basic Necessities to Economically Disadvantaged Populations
Services Necessary to Maintain Essential Operations of Residences or Other Essential Businesses

All public or private gatherings of any number of people occurring outside a single household or living unit are prohibited under the order.
Restaurants with or without drive-in or drive-through services and microbreweries, micro-distilleries, or wineries may only provide take out, delivery, or drive-through services as allowed by law. All elective medical, surgical, and dental procedures are prohibited anywhere in Dallas County.
Additionally, due to the public health emergency, the Office of the Dallas County Judge has advised the Dallas County Justices of the Peace to suspend eviction hearings and writs of possession for at least the next 60 days to prevent renters from being displaced.
As of Sunday at noon, there are 334 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Texas, including 131 cases in Dallas County, 24 cases in Denton County, and 31 cases in Collin County. There are two confirmed cases within the City of Carrollton, one in Dallas County and one in Denton County. |
