Once again, I'm in agreement w/ Mr. Davis (I just don't articulate my thoughts as well). On a contract such as this, there may very well be an overall, maximum budget to be spent here, but the final tally will depend what exactly is implemented and how extensive the install is. While TRNT likely did a thorough study of the state's needs and based their bid accordingly, the actuals seldom turn out as planned. Comparing the state govt.'s size w/ that of a large corp., but not knowing where their systems are now and where they want to get to, the potential range of such a contract is pretty big. You may be right in that it is not all that big, but based on the potential and the co.'s propensity to be rather closed-mouth on similar jobs, I'd bet on this being a good size contract. Do you want to bet lunch on it? Consistent w/ Bob's thoughts, I'm also wondering about the potential of long-term, high margin, service contracts this could bring TransNet's way. Obviously, all conjecture now. Let's hope that future SEC filings and/or annual/quarterly reports shed some light on the co.'s contracts-in-place. |
