In the yr 2000 the dollar volume in Trillions for the Nasdaq was $20,395.3...against a share volume of 442.8 billion shares.

In the year 2001 the total dollar volume in Trillions was $10,934.6 the number of shares that year was 471.2 billion....

By fall 02 (9 months) in trillions the dollar value of the volume in billions of shares had sunk to $6,254.3 with only 375.8 billion shares traded.
