Funny, I agree heartily with this one. And so does my wife and about every person I know who is here illegally AND legally. It is a myth to say they don't want to learn English and assimilate. Period. There are not enough Adult ESL teachers to teach all the people who want to learn English, and that is a fact. Immigrants now days, both legal and illegal, are assimilating into the American culture faster than at any other point in US history. This is also fact, as studies prove. If people want it to be instantaneous then they need to start passing out those magic wands they think ought to be used. The ones who did not come here because they thought the US was the best place in the world build a life and raise their kids need to go back home and rethink their priorities. But, the simple fact is that almost all who immigrate here, legally or illegally, do so to build a life for their family and live in a much better place, with the desire to eventually become accepted American citizens.
