I think the discussion about businesses avoiding IO products because of the advertising that has been done so far has missed a major point - laptops.

According to the information I have seen, there isn't much chance of getting the LS-120 technology slim enough for a laptop environment. The trade off (as it has been explained to me by people who actually seem to know about these things) of backward compatibility requires a head design which can only be slimmed so much - and it is too much for laptops.

I am aware that last summer Compaq said they would have one out by next year, and perhaps that is true. If it does happen by then, it may beat the regular LS-120 to market. ;-)

IO has demonstrated a working laptop version of the Zip and has stated 1Q 97 as an introduction date. So far they have a fairly decent track record for coming through on these things.
