>>Is it really true that you are fitting many PCs with Jaz drives?<<

Yes, the company is ordering Jaz drives (internal) for the home machines of many of the users. Machines can be different depending upon department and what they ask for. Some departments aren't hip to Jaz yet. But there is a steady stream of Jaz drives coming into this place.

Yesterday one of the users here asked me if I thought he should buy a Zip drive to supplement the hard drive on his notebook. He's running out of room and wanted to run applications from the Zip. Mind you, I had not brought up the subject of Zip. I told him about the Jaz drive, of which he was unaware, and recommended he get that instead. (He has a SCSI port on the docking station of his notebook.)

For the couple of people who asked, I'd prefer not to mention the company name. I'm a consultant there. It is a very large company in the investment field. This company has always put a lot of money into technology, as they feel that gives them an advantage in their business. Yes, they are publicly traded.

The Jaz drives are going into HP machines, btw, which are this company's current standard.
