I respectfully disagree. Amati has stated categorically they're counting on royalty fees to cover R&D and no more. As for licensing, those who've already licensed are discovering they need far more than the basic line codes to make a successful modem. They need DMT line codes to make them ANSI/ENSI compliant *and* other more complicated algorithms to make them work right---and the Standards Committee can't demand "fair and equitable rates" on these.

Now you see why our scruffy little boxer can play tough?

The season has barely begun and the best seats in the house have already been sold.
