Nokia to begin manufacture of mobile switching and base station controllers in China Summary: HELSINKI, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 1998--Nokia's joint venture Beijing Nokia Hang Xing Telecommunications Systems Ltd., (BNT) is being expanded to manufacture Mobile Switching Centres (MSC's) and Base Station Controllers (BSC's). Nokia currently has six production sites in China, providing telecommunications infrastructure and mobile phone products, as well as after sale services. Nokia offers total GSM systems, with everything from digital mobile phones to transmission and switching,with one of the highest capacity mobile switches in the market today.
