Somewhere over 5.5mm shares. My understanding is 1)Amerindo rarely, if ever, sells (see ASND, CSCO, OSII) and 2)they usually allow their stock to be held in the street name (i.e. allows shorts to borrow more stock. Be careful as the year-end approaches, you never know if they will ask to have their stock delivered near year-end to squeeze shorts. Fidelity has been known to do this). Also, the last report I saw shows Fidelity initiating a position in AVNT during the 2q97.
